A thank-you for every client you send.

Here’s what you earn for each client you send.

DESIGN & BUILD 15% of their website project

Counted once their new website or online shop is finished and paid for. Custom work earns 15% of the price too.

WEBSITE CARE PLANS 10% of every payment for 12 months

On any Website Care plan they start, from Essential to Partner.

Example: refer a client who starts a £3,000 website and a Care+ plan, and you’d earn £450 plus £10 a month for a year.
HOW IT WORKS

Four steps, no hard sell.

You make the introduction. We do the rest, and keep you posted along the way.

  1. 01 Sign up Create a free Spectacle account, or log in, and your personal link and code are under Settings.
  2. 02 Make an introduction Share your link, or give them your code to use when they sign up.
  3. 03 They become a client We look after them like any other client, and keep you updated.
  4. 04 You get paid Once they’ve paid, your thank-you is sent by bank transfer each month.

How long does a referral last?

Your link is remembered for 60 days in the browser they open it in, or they can type your code when they sign up. Anything they buy within 12 months of being referred counts.

When do I get paid?

Website projects count once they’re finished and paid for. Plans count once they’ve been running 60 days and 2 invoices have been paid. Payments go out monthly by bank transfer once you’re owed at least £20.

Can existing Spectacle clients join?

Yes. Clients are some of our best ambassadors.

What if the client cancels?

Monthly commission stops if they cancel their plan. Anything already paid to you is yours to keep.

Can I refer my own business?

Self-referrals don’t count, but our startup and Cumbria offers might help instead.

Do I need to be a business?

No. Individuals and businesses can both join. You’re responsible for declaring what you earn.
